Triumph ACADEMY Program Information
Age Group: The Academy Level Program is offered for
the U9, U10, U11 & U12 age groups. It is a stepping-stone
to the select program. The commitment level is more
than that required in the recreational program, but
less than that required of the select program. Similar
to the recreational level program, it is open to players

Coaches: The program is organized by the Vice
President Academy Program, Iain Currie and run by
the Director of Coaching, Warren van der Westhuizen.
To keep the training costs down, a combination of paid
trainers and volunteer parent coaches are used who rotate
through all the player training groups during the season.
There are no fixed teams in the fall for U9, U10 & U11.
Fixed teams are assigned for the spring season. The
player is part of the group and teams will be put together
each week to play against each other and against similar
teams from other associations.
All Games: Games will be at home (the Granite
Drive Complex) and based on this current year, other
metro Atlanta area associations, so travel is very limited.
The player commitment requirements (and associated parents
commitments) are for the player to participate in two
practices a week (both at TYSA facilities) and to
participate in at least 10 game sessions each season.
Duration: The commitment to the program is for
one year (fall and spring season) similar to the select
program.
Email : Iain Currie (Vice President Academy
Program) for questions.
Program fees: Player fees are $900 per year (for both Fall and Spring season), this covers registration, capital improvement, coaching and pre-season camp. Uniform and tournament entry fees are charged additional at cost as appropriate.
Mandatory: There will be at least two mandatory
tournaments during the playing year. Team summer camp
is included in the registration fee.
