Alex attended Mars Hill College on a soccer scholarship and was a 4 year starter at the NCAA Division 2 level helping his team to 3 second place finishes in the South Atlantic Conference. He transferred to play his senior season at Clayton State University where he started at both left back and left midfield for the Lakers. Upon graduation he played for 4 seasons in the USL for three different clubs to include the West Michigan Edge, Palm Beach Pumas and the West Virginia Chaos.
As a youth player Alex played for United Quest Soccer Club, now currently North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA), for the 81’ Red team which won 4 Georgia state titles and was ranked as high as 3rd nationally. Furthermore he played his high school soccer at Woodstock High School as was a 4 year All-County selection from 1996-2000.
Coaching
From 2005-2012 Alex was the Assistant Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Oglethorpe University, and was also the assistant coach at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia.
Alex comes to TYSA from Dacula Soccer Club at which he was the DOC and prior to that North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA) where he was on the select and academy from 2005-2010
