Tucker Youth Soccer Association enlists the expertise
of both certified professional coaches and experienced
certified volunteer coaches in our Academy and Select
programs. The combination of these two sources provide
excellent coaching for players who wish to compete on
the next level and could benefit from this kind of leadership,
while keeping the cost affordable. Many of the coaches
have been involved in the recreation program (some for
many years), so the players already know them. This
season, we welcome several new coaches: Merck Smith
is back, coaching the boys U10 academy team and TYSA
welcomes the addition of Stephen Paul (coaching U11
boys), Charlie Watson (coaching U14 girls) and Daymeon
Corey (coaching U17 girls), all of these three coaches
formerly of the Stone Mountain Youth Soccer Association
(SMYSA). This up and coming season promises to be a
great one!
Academy
The Academy Level Program is offered for the
U9, U10, U11 & U12 age groups. It is a stepping-stone
to the select program. The commitment level
is more than that required in the recreational
program, but less than that required of the
select program. Similar to the recreational
level program, it is open to players of all
skill levels.

Select
The Select Program is offered for ages 13-18.
This level of play requires a tryout where qualifying
players are selected by the head coaches. The
Select program is our highest competitive level
where our players will face the best of other
leagues in and around the state of Georgia.
