Who can Participate?

The 5 - a - Side TYSA Tournament is open to all USYSA (or FIFA affiliated national association) affiliated Recreation teams. All players must be currently registered with the USYSA or, for foreign teams, a FIFA affiliated national recreation association. Soccer teams of ages U10 - U19 and all skill levels are invited to participate in TYSA's Five-A-Side on Saturday, April 12, 2007 and Sunday April 13, 2007 at Henderson Soccer Park in Tucker, Georgia. The Five-A-Side tournament is an excellent opportunity for players to experience a tournament which allows you to get many touches on the ball and where scoring goals is the name of the game! To ensure an enjoyable experience by all, we will attempt to group teams of similar ability level.

What is Five-a-Side?
Five-A-Side soccer is a fast-moving game which allows many touches on the ball for all players. Each team has four field players and a goalie on a small field with small goals. Referees are provided.

Games
The games consist of two 20-minute halves. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Schedules will allow for a minimum of 45 minutes between games. Depending on weather or field conditions, tournament officials reserve the right to delay games, reduce the length of games, reschedule games, or cancel the tournament.

Roster Size
The maximum roster size is 8 players. (Exceptions need to be made in writing to recdoc@tysa.com)

Trophies
Championship games will be held at each age bracket. Individual awards for each player will be given to the first and second place teams in a 6 or 8

          Will there be awards handed out in this tournament?

Individual trophies will be awarded to the championship and runner-up teams in each age group and division in which finals are played.

Who is TYSA an Affiliate of?

TYSA is sanctioned by the Georgia Youth Soccer Association, an affiliate of the United States Youth Soccer Association.
