Registration Info

Select players (Academy, Athena & Classic) should receive a registration code for their coach or team manager.  Select players cannot complete the registration process online without this code.

* All U5, U6 & U8 players will need to purchase a new uniform for the Fall 2004 season.  If you return for the Spring 2005 season, you will not need to purchase another uniform in the spring. For Fall registration, please purchase the uniform in conjunction with your registration.

*  *Returning players (U10 & Up) that have already purchased the two jersey package (1 red & 1 white) do not need to purchase a new uniform if you already have a uniform package you are satisfied with.  Players who already have a uniform and do not need to purchase should leave the uniform section blank when registering.  Players who are new to U10 & Up or who need to replace their uniform package should indicate their uniform information when ordering and purchase the uniform package during registration.

TYSA is affiliated with Georgia Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer. We have programs for both recreational and select (Athena & Classic) players.   TYSA has programs for players from age 4 through age 18.

Registration Forms: When you register at TYSA for the first time, you will need to provide a copy of the player's birth certificate.  We encourage all players to register online.

Uniform Package:  

For the U5 through U8 age groups, we will continue with the multi-color uniforms that consist of a jersey with the TYSA logo, black shorts and black socks.  These uniform packages will be good for a calendar year that will run from the fall season through the end of the spring season. 

For the U10 and up age groups, we have implemented an upgraded uniform package.  The uniform package for these age groups will consist of 1 red jersey (home), 1 white jersey (away), a pair of black shorts and a pair of black socks.  These uniforms will be good for multiple years.  This will give our recreational teams that are inter-league schedules with other associations the ability to have a home and away uniform similar to the select teams.  It also eliminates the need to purchase a uniform every year if the uniform still fits the player.   

Select teams have more uniform options and will purchase their uniforms through their individual teams and in conjunction with the select team uniform coordinator.

Playing Up:  Players with an August birth date may play up one age group if requested on their registration form by their parent/guardian.  No additional approval is required.  If a player demonstrates exception skill in their own age group, they may apply to play up one age group.  A written request must be submitted by the parent/guardian along with the registration form.  Each request is subject to approval by the association President.

Refund Policy:  TYSA encourages players to register early to guarantee them a spot on the upcoming season.  If a player requests to withdraw their registration anytime before between registration and the first game, TYSA will refund all of the registration except a $25 processing fee.  There will be no refunds after the first game of the season and all refunds require the approval of the TYSA President.  Please note that all requests for refunds must be submitted to TYSA in writing either by mailing TYSA at P.O. Box TYSA, Lilburn, GA 30048 or emailing us at refund@tysasoccer.com

Equipment: In addition to the uniform provided through TYSA, each player should have the equipment that is listed below.  TYSA will work with our uniform providers to make this additional equipment available during walk-up registration at the TYSA complex at reduced rates.

Schedule: Team formation will occur the first two weeks of August and players will be notified of their team assignments by the coach.  Practices will begin in late August and the first games will be held the second weekend in September.  U5/U6 players normally play a 9 game season and U8 & above play a 10 game season. 

 

 Practice Information

Teams will practice a maximum of twice per week. There will be one game per week, normally on the weekend (except for possible make-up games). The following guidelines should be used for recreational teams:

U12 & up	Up to 90 minutes

 

Every player must wear shin guards to all practices and games. Shin guards must be commercially manufactured specifically for soccer.

Players should wear cleated shoes that are designed for soccer or turf shoes. For players U12 and younger, all cleats must be molded into the shoe.  Please be aware that players are not allowed to play in baseball cleats or other cleated shoes that would contain a toe cleat.

Each player should bring a water bottle to all games and practice. Players should put their names on their water bottle

If you are registering a player at TYSA for the first time, a copy of your child's birth certificate is required along with your registration form. Hospital, baptismal or other religious certificates are not acceptable.  If you are having a problem getting a copy of your child's official birth certificate, go ahead and send in your registration form now and make sure you provide us a copy of the birth certificate prior to the first game.  No player can be allowed to play in a game until we have a copy of his or her birth certificate.

 

Instructions on using ONLINE REGISTRATION

1.  Click on ONLINE REGISTRATION

2.  Click on CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLINE at the bottom of the page

3.  If you have previously used online registration, simply enter your email address and your password.  If you don't recall your password, click on Forget your password? to have your password emailed to you.  If you have not used the system before, please fill in the fields on the right hand side of the screen to establish your user account.

4.  If you have registered before, existing profiles on each member of your family will be listed.  If you are new or have a family member who is registering for the first time, please click on Add Another Family Member until you have added each member of your family.  Please be aware that each child must be identified as a "CHILD" in your profile and each family must have at least one PARENT defined.

5.  After all family members have been defined, please click on Player Registration on the left hand side of the page.  The system will prompt you to identify which profile you want to register.  Please note that only profiles marked as a CHILD will be displayed.  The existing profile contents will be displayed for you to review one final time.  Please make any corrections necessary and click on the CONTINUE button at the bottom of the page.

6.  If you are registering for a Select Team, you will have to select the appropriate division and be ready to enter the INVITATION CODE supplied by your team.  If you are registering for the Spring 2004 Recreational Program, please choose RECREATION at the bottom.

7.  You will be prompted for specific information about playing experience, your last team, school information and medical/emergency contact information.  Please complete all necessary fields and click CONTINUE at the bottom of the page.

8.  The system will show you the financial portion of the transaction including the registration amount and an optional box to make a contribution to TYSA.  This area will also include the uniform charge for the U6-U8 age groups.  Please make any modifications and click CONTINUE REGISTRATION.

8.  Please complete steps 5-8 for any additional players you would like to register.

9.  If you wish to Volunteer for any activities at TYSA (i.e. Coach, Field Marshall, Concession Stand, etc.), please click on the VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION button on the left hand side of the page and follow the simple instructions.

10.  IMPORTANT:  When you are finished registering individuals, you must click on the SUBMIT button to finish your registration.  This will recap all of your activity and give you the choice to pay by check or by credit card.   Please follow the instruction and save a copy of the confirmation for your records.
