Playing Experience
Franklin graduated from Cedar Ridge H.S., and in His Senior year, was awarded to New Jersey's 2nd Team All State Soccer Team. Upon graduation he was offered an invitation to play with the New Jersey Americans Professional Soccer Team, but elected to attend Belmont Abbey College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
In 1977, Franklin attended the US Olympic Training Camp In Squaw Valley, California, with Coach Walt Chezwych.
In 1981, Franklin was awarded North Carolina Amateur Player of the Year.
His Professional career spanned from 1981, starting with the Nashville Diamonds, (ASL), and playing over the next 11 years with the, Pennsylvania Stoners, (ASL), New York Arrows,(MISL), New York Nationals, (USL), Stints with the Charlotte Gold, (USL), Fort Lauderdale Sun, (USL), and ending his Professional Career with the Indoor Atlanta Lightnin, (SIZZLE League).
While playing with Atlanta's Amateur Club, Datagraphic's, they were Three Time Regional and Two Time National Champions.
Franklin is a certified Licensed High School ASEP Coach, and for the past six years been Assistant Head Women's Coach for Georgia Perimeter College, an NSCAA Member since 1996, a Georgia State Soccer Association Olympic Developmental Staff Coach.

Coaching Experience Franklin has been coaching and playing since 1975. He has been coaching in Atlanta for the past 15 years.
