Recreation Goalkeeper Training for Spring 2008 at Henderson Complex at Field #3

Practice for Recreational Goalkeepers will take place starting Friday, February 22 .

For All Goalkeepers from ages 8 - 17 there will be recreation goalkeepers session held by our Director of Goalkeepers , Warren van der Westhuizen . The sessions will take place over 8 weeks, and the first week will begin on Friday, February 22 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm at Henderson Complex Field #3.

Please bring your water bottle, goalkeeper gloves and soccer ball.

TYSA TINY TYKES

Spring 2008 Season

Hello everyone!  It's time to get those Tiny Tykes and you parents out on the field!  We will begin training sessions on Sunday March 18, on Field #4 (upper lot near the concession stand).  We will continue each Sunday after that and end on Sunday May 6 with round robin matches and awards.  We will have three sessions each Sunday: 1:00-1:45,2:00-2:45 and 3:00-3:45; so pick the one that is most convenient for your family.  Let me know which session you will be attending, so we can be prepared.

Please assume these dates are valid unless exceptions are noted here.

Unless otherwise noted above, registration is from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the office above the concession stand at Henderson Park, 2803 Henderson Road, Tucker, GA, 30084.

U06 Tykes jerseys are reversible and reusable in U06 Tykes only.  U08 and up recreational uniforms, once purchased, may be reused every year until they wear out.  U10 Developmental uniforms can be reused only in U10D.  Select uniforms may change periodically.  TYSA introduced a new select uniform in the Fall of 2002 which will be used through at least Spring 2006 barring something unforeseen happening.  When a change is made, existing teams are allowed to use the old uniform for one year after the change.  The Rec. Uniform and individual pieces are sold at recreational registration and will be available at the concession stand during the season.  Select team uniforms are distributed by the team manager.

Registration Refund Policy

Moving Out of Area

If a registered recreational player moves out of the area (35 miles radius from TYSA) and notifies the age group commissioner prior to the formation of teams at the beginning of the season (4 weeks before the first game of the season), a refund of the registration fee will be allowed. The refund payment will be issued at the end of the season and mailed to the new address. 

Injury

In the event of a serious injury or disabling illness before the first game of the season that prevents a registered player from playing during the season, a refund may be allowed at the discretion of the President. The refund payment will be issued at the end of the season.

The Capital Improvement Assessment is non refundable.

The Recreational Season

U06 Tykes  

Fall
The first game is the second weekend after Labor Day.  Practice is once per week and starts two weeks prior to the first game.  The last game is on the second weekend of November.  A coach will call prior to the date of the start of practice and  inform you of your team assignment and practice day and time.

Spring
The first game is the second weekend of March.  Practice is once per week and starts one week prior to the first game.  The last game is on the second weekend of May. Returning players remain on the same teams as in the fall.

U08-U16

Fall
The first game is the weekend after Labor Day.  Practice is two times per week and starts two weeks prior to the first game.  The last game is on the second weekend of November.  A coach will call prior to the date of the start of practice and  inform you of your team assignment and practice days and times.

Spring
The first game is the first weekend of March.  Practice is two times per week and starts two weeks prior to the first game.  The last game is on the second weekend of May.  Returning players remain on the same teams as in the fall.  A coach will call new players prior to the date of the start of practice and  inform you of your team assignment and practice days and times.

Player Needs

All Players need to bring a ball of proper size (U06-U08 = size 3, U10-U12 = size 4, U13 & up = size 5) and water to every practice.  All players must wear shin guards.  Soccer shoes, cleats or turf, are recommended.  Use of sports goggles or soft contacts is recommended in lieu of glasses.
