CLUB POLICIES & PLAYER SAFETY

TRIUMPH SAFE SPORT POLICY

As a member of Georgia Soccer and US Youth Soccer, TYSA is required to comply with the Safe Sport Authorization Act passed by the US Congress in February 2018.

TYSA is committed to keeping our kids safe and establishing and enforcing federal, state, and local laws enacted to protect our players. TYSA has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and misconduct.

Safe Sport Authorization Act

In response to the Safe Sport Act, TYSA has implemented the Safe Soccer Policy. The purpose of this policy is to:

• To promote and prioritize the safety of minor athletes.

• To provide our Adult Participants and Family Members the appropriate training to recognize, identify and respond to safety concerns relating to minor athletes.

• Should a breach in policy or a safety concern arise, that those reporting know the proper actions to take.

Enforcing this Code of Conduct allows TYSA to promote a safe, rewarding and fun sports experience for our entire community.

Please read this document carefully before registering each season. Each player, parent and coach is required to acknowledge the Code of Conduct and must abide by the Code of Conduct throughout the entire season.

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action including suspension, either temporarily or permanently, as determined by the appropriate members of the Board of Directors.

TYSA REFUND POLICIES

TYSA REFUND POLICIES LISTED BY PROGRAM

ACADEMY and SELECT (SCCL) Refund Policy

TYSA is a non-profit organization that relies on registration fees to provide the game of soccer to its members and pay for our operating expenses. Expenses include, but are not limited to, coaching salaries, facility maintenance and improvements, referee fees, equipment purchases, and registration fees and insurances due to affiliate associations or leagues. I understand that my Player’s commitment to a TYSA program and an affiliated association or league is a club season long obligation (fall and spring). As a general premise, TYSA has a NO REFUND policy. However, the Board of Directors does recognize that there are situations which may unexpectedly arise in which a partial refund or waiver of unpaid fees may be an exception to the policy.  These exceptions would need to be reviewed by the appropriate members of the Board of Directors before determining if and how much refund to provide or whether a waiver of unpaid fees may be available. Any request must be made to the President of the Board of Directors (contact information available on the TYSA website).

• Deposits (1st payments) are never refundable.

• For players who withdraw from the team voluntarily after the deposit has been paid, no refund is given nor are subsequent payments cancelled or returned.

• For players who withdraw due to a season ending injury (and can produce verification from a licensed doctor which includes the player’s first and last name, type of injury, the date the injury occurred and an estimated return to play date), or family relocation (greater than 50 miles from any of TYSA’s home practice fields; evidence of the move required will include either a utility bill with the new address or a rental agreement or deed referencing the parent or guardian’s first and last name and new address), refunds or the waiver of future payments may be available at the full discretion of the Board of Directors.

• Extreme hardships will be considered, but are not a guarantee of a refund or waiver of future fees, on a case-by-case basis.

• Uniform fees cannot be refunded by TYSA or their uniform vendor.

• There will be no refunds for Acts of God, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters or global pandemics. When, and if possible, a season may be extended rather than cancelled.

ADULT LEAGUE Refund Policy

TYSA is a non-profit organization that relies on registration fees to provide the game of soccer to its members and pay for our operating expenses. All Adult League registration fees are non-refundable unless the registrant is not placed on a team prior to the start of the season.

RECREATIONAL Refund Policy

TYSA is a non-profit organization that relies on registration fees to provide the game of soccer to its members and pay for our Club operating expenses. Therefore, based on these factors our refund policies are as follows:

• There are no refunds after the registration deadline.

• For players who withdraw from a team voluntarily after the registration deadline, there will be no refunds.

• For players who withdraw due to a season ending injury (and can produce verification from a licensed doctor which includes the player’s first and last name, type of injury, the date the injury occurred and an estimated return to play date), or family relocation (greater than 35 miles from any of TYSA’s home practice fields; evidence of the move required will include either a utility bill with the new address or a rental agreement or deed referencing the parent or guardian’s first and last name and new address), refunds will be provided as follows:

• First two weeks of the season – 50% refund.

• Two-four weeks into the season – 25% refund.

• More than four weeks into the season – no refund will be issued.

• For purposes of this provision, the commencement of the season will be the first Saturday in March for the Spring Season and the first Saturday after Labor Day for the Fall Season.

• Uniform fees cannot be refunded by TYSA or their uniform vendor.

• There will be no refunds for Acts of God, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters or global pandemics. When, and if possible, a season may be extended rather than cancelled.

(Cancellation requests must be sent to admin@TYSA.com.)

SPECIALTY CAMP Refund Policy

[This refund policy pertains to the Celtic Camp or any other camp involving non-TYSA coaching staff.]

A full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee, will be issued to any participant whose registration is cancelled a minimum of 3 days prior to the start of the camp. Otherwise, there is a non-refund policy.

(Cancellation requests must be sent to admin@TYSA.com.)

TYSA CAMP Refund Policy

[This refund policy pertains to the following camps – Spring Break, summer camps, Thanksgiving Camp and Winter Camp.]

A full refund will be issued to any participant whose registration is cancelled a minimum of 3 days prior to the start of the camp. Cancellations made less than three days from the start date will result in a camp credit. Credits may be used for future camps only and not for any other type of registration. These camp credits must be used for another camp in the same calendar year, unless the credits are given for a camp in November or December, in which case the credits must be used within six (6) months of issuance. We have a no refund policy other than as listed above.

(Cancellation requests must be sent to admin@TYSA.com.)

WINTER LEAGUE Refund Policy
